We are a JAZZ
BAND based near CAMBRIDGE and can provide a two, three, four, five or six piece traditional
NEW ORLEANS/ DIXIELAND style jazz band for your special occasion, be it a
Wedding, Anniversary, Birthday Party, Garden Party, Funeral, Store Opening, Jazz
Club, Boat Launch or Corporate Function.
"We play traditional New Orleans & Dixieland style jazz and can provide a two, three, four, five or six piece jazz band featuring a trumpet/cornet lead, with clarinet/saxophone and trombone in the front line, backed by a string bass, tenor banjo and drums in the rythmn section. This line up is laced with professional musicianship, that is not excessively loud, whilst still retaining a high level of clean fun and entertainment."
The band is now into it’s 14th year and has gone from strength to strength with established jazz musicians from East Anglia forming the bedrock of a hot traditional jazz band that plays, with great enthusiasm, the music from New Orleans and Chicago of the nineteen tens, twenties and thirties of Louis Armstrong, King Oliver, Kid Ory & Bix Beiderbecke, also strongly influenced by “The Ken Colyer Jazzmen” & “The Chris Barber Jazz Band” of the nineteen fifties and early sixties.
