Over Parish Plan
These
‘plans’ are documents prepared by communities, to set out their vision of
how the village could, and should be developed in the future. They form
part of a government
sponsored initiative to help rural communities develop their own neighbourhood
in the way that they want, and to ensure the best possible quality of life for
those who live and work there.
The
documents should be developed using the ideas and opinions of the Parishioners.
The
work is being co-ordinated by volunteers within a Steering Group which was set
up following the village meeting on 14th June 2004. The members of the Steering
Group formed are :-

Wilson ( Chairman ), Steve Couper (Treasurer ) , Brian Chapman ( Secretary ) ,
Mick Allen, Roland Benjamin, Roger Hetherington, Chris Horton, Helen Hyde, Gary
Lewis (Swavesey Village College ), Jane Lovett , Les Nicholas, Lisa Riddle,
Rosie Wayman ( Over Parish Council )
Initially,
known groups in the village are being invited to attend meetings to identify
issues to be addressed in a later questionnaire.
The
questionnaire will be provided to every household within the parish. Once the
responses have been analysed by Swavesey Village College , the survey results
and a proposed Action Plan forming part of the Parish Plan, will be presented to
the village for consultation.
