Over Memory Cafe Update
Thank you all for a truly wonderful and entertaining morning at our St.George’s Day Café. KJ & The Katt made it a special morning, so many great comments from our guests and volunteers – fantastic songs, warm, happy and friendly, what a joyful café. Lunch was fully booked with 36 diners enjoying a wonderful lunch, beautifully cooked and served by our fabulous team of volunteers. Preparations underway for our next Café and Lunch Club, Saturday May 23, when we have Mawson’s Folly entertaining us. We do hope to see as many of you again. South Cambs Connect
South Cambs Connect, in Cambourne, is available to residents, aspiring businesspeople, small business owners, charities and community groups who may be looking for a flexible place to work or a change of scene to working from home. South Cambs Connect is currently a free service found within the South Cambridgeshire District Council office and offers bookable desk space, meeting rooms and a group workshop area, as well as the benefits of on-site parking and a canteen.

Over Memory Cafe and Lunch Club – March 28th 2026
Please do join us at our next Memory Café, when we have ‘St. Ives Uke Troupe’ entertaining us. All are welcome to our free morning, teas, coffees and cake will be provided. Our Café is in the Over Day Centre, to start at 10:00am on Saturday, March 28. Following our Memory Café, our Saturday Lunch Club is serving Creamy Fish pie or Butter bean and sweet potato pie with mashed potatoes served and seasonal vegetables. Dear Friends, I wonder what you enjoy watching on television? One of the programmes I look forward to is ‘Pilgrimage’ which involves celebrities from a variety of contexts trekking together, sharing life and faith on the way. The programme points to a reality – in a busy world, an increasing number of people are rediscovering the quiet gift of pilgrimage. Memory Cafe and Lunch Club – Report on 7th March 2026
Thank you to all who joined our Memory Café and Lunch Club on Saturday, a fantastic morning with a great numbers at both our Café and Lunch. The Good Times entertained us with Live music ranging from Dolly to Duran Duran. Amazing cakes and savouries were provided, a big thanks to our volunteers who make the morning such fun. Lunch was another triumph, amazing food, a birthday to celebrate and so many diners joining us. We thank you all for your continued support and our amazing cooks and volunteers. Over Gardening Club – 18th March 2026
Over Gardening Club’s March meeting will be held in the main hall at Over Community Centre at 7.30pm. This month we have a talk by Roger Harvey entitled “The Chelsea Experience”. We are a friendly group of gardeners and plant lovers who have regular meetings with a speaker and raffle and occasional plant sales. Meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of each month; from September to May we meet at Over Community Centre where we usually have a guest speaker talking on various aspects of gardening, in June we often arrange a visit to a local garden and in July we hold a social evening.
