A full Parish Council meeting for Over Parish Council was held on 8th October 2024 at 19:00 in the Seminar Room at Over Community Centre. Present – Cllr G Twiss (Chairman), Cllr J Davies (Vice Chairman), Cllr S Couper, Cllr R Day, Cllr G Fenn, Cllr M Grange, Cllr R Robinson, Cllr G Theobald, CCllr F Thompson. Vacancies – Three Councillor Vacancies. 01/10/2024 Public Participation. No public attended the meeting. 02/10/2024 Reports from County and District Councillors. 2.1 – County Councillor – CCllr F Thompson’s monthly report had been circulated to members of the PC prior to the meeting. A number of events are planned for November: 16th November 2024 – Karaoke with Krazy Kris from 8 pm in the bar 22nd November 2024 – Murder at the Theatre. A murder mystery from Raw Theatre Productions from 7.30 pm. Tickets £20 including ploughmans. 30th November 2024 – Christmas Craft Fair from 1 pm to 4 pm.

Remembrance Sunday 10th November Act of Remembrance followed by a parade to St Mary’s Church for service of Remembrance.  A rolling road closure will be in place from 2pm until 3pm from the War Memorial along Long Furlong and the High Street to St Mary’s Church.  All are welcome to join us for any part or all of it. There will be refreshments in the church hall after the service. 

We used to be known as Over Netball but recently changed our name to be more inclusive and reflect the fact that our players come from all the villages around here. Many of our players still come from Over Village. We have coached training on Tuesdays from 7-8.30pm at Northstowe Secondary school (outdoor courts). First month is free, then £15 per month. We play in two leagues, Fenland league (Thursday evenings) and CDNL (Saturday daytime).
