Parish Council
Over Parish Council represents the people of Over and works to provide local facilities, consult on planning applications and support local groups and events.
As the first level of local government, we also ‘bridge the gap’ between the community and the County and District Councils, helping local residents to connect with the right people and services.
We are made-up of 11 volunteers and have a Parish Clerk to support us with the administration and to day-to-day running of the Parish.
Over is a busy village with local groups and organisations and, to help us provide support where it’s needed most, we are invited to appoint representatives on the following committees:
- Over Day Centre
- Over Community Association
- Over Church and Town Lands
- Norman Way Industrial Estate Management Association
- Hanson Aggregates
The full Parish Council meeting is held on the 2nd Tuesday of every month, starting at 7pm, in the Seminar Room at the Community Centre. Parishioners can attend the start of a Parish Council meeting to raise questions or concerns, and details of the agenda for each meeting are posted on the noticeboards (located outside the village shop and at the entrance to St Mary’s church).
You can find out more about Over Parish Council, including meeting agendas and minutes, on the Over Parish Council website www.over-pc.org.uk
