The Over Players are pleased to announce that their Spring Show for 2025 is Calendar Girls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Following the death of a much-loved husband, a group of ordinary women in a small Yorkshire Women’s Institute are prompted to do an extraordinary thing and set about creating a nude calendar to raise money for charity. The story of the Calendar Girls launched a global phenomenon: a million copycat calendars, a record-breaking movie, stage play and now a musical written by <\/em>Gary Barlow<\/em><\/strong> and <\/em>Tim Firth.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Performance Dates:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Wednesday 28th May – Saturday 31st May 2025.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Over Community Centre<\/p>\n\n\n\n Read-throughs of the show will take place on Wednesday 15<\/strong>th<\/sup><\/strong> and 22nd January <\/strong>at<\/p>\n\n\n\n 8 p.m. <\/strong>in Over Church Hall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Auditions – only for principal parts: Wednesday 29<\/strong>th<\/sup><\/strong> January <\/strong>at Over Community Centre starting at 7.30 p.m. and the first rehearsal will be on Wednesday 5<\/strong>th<\/sup><\/strong> February <\/strong>in the Church Hall starting at 8 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n If you would like any further information please contact Olive Swain via email on olive123swain@gmail.com<\/a> or Christine Turner: c.turner1@hotmail.com<\/a>.
