    An Elizabethan Grammar School: Mike Muncaster At least half of our members live in Over, including our secretary.  The History Society meets at 7.30 p.m. on the third Tuesday of the month in The Carol Shaw Room at Swavesey Village College – through the main entrance then 20 metres along the corridor to the right.  No need to book so you are welcome to just walk in.  If you want further information, contact our Secretary, Carolyn (see contact info below).

  • Over Gardening Club

    Over Community Centre 16 The Doles, Over,, Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom

    Over Gardening Club's November meeting will be held in the main hall at Over Community Centre. This month we have a talk by Geoff Pake entitled "My Farming Experiences". We are a friendly group of gardeners and plant lovers who have regular meetings with a speaker and raffle and occasional plant sales. Meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of each month; from September to May we meet at Over Community Centre where we usually have a guest speaker talking on various aspects of gardening, in June we often arrange a visit to a local garden and in July we hold a social evening. Membership runs annually from 1 April to 31 March and is currently £15.00 per year.  Visitors to meetings are welcome but we do ask for a guest fee of £3.00 per visit.  A 10% discount is currently available on most items at Oakington Garden Centre, plants at Parkhall Nursery in Somersham and also items from Madingley Mulch when your membership card is shown.  Further enquiries, please email us – gardeningclubover@gmail.com Date: 19th November 2025 Start time: 7.15pm

    Do you enjoy textile hobbies? Are you available on Friday mornings? Whether you're an embroiderer, crocheter, knitter, patchworker .......any form of textile artist or crafter really, and whatever level of skill you have, you'd be most welcome to join us in Over Community Centre on Friday mornings from 9.30. Our aim to get together to socialise through our hobbies, hopefully inspiring and helping each other to learn new skills. We meet in the lounge and support the centre by buying our drinks  from the café.

Our Café is in the Over Day Centre, to start at 10:00am on Saturday, November  22.
