Note change of speaker and topic Oriental Salads and Vegetables Mike Day AGM follows the speaker We are a friendly group of gardeners and plant lovers who have regular meetings with a speaker and raffle and occasional plant sales. Meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of each month; from September to May we meet at Over Community Centre where we usually have a guest speaker talking on various aspects of gardening, in June we often arrange a visit to a local garden and in July we hold a social evening. Membership runs annually from 1 April to 31 March and is currently £15.00 per year. Visitors to meetings are welcome but we do ask for a guest fee of £3.00 per visit. A 10% discount is available on most items at Oakington Garden Centre, plants at Parkhall Nursery in Somersham and also items from Madingley Mulch with a current membership card. If you would like to come to a meeting as a guest just turn up or contact any member of the committee for further details, we would love to see you. 24 February The Real Basic Browm: from Rickinghall to Sutton Hoo with Sarah Doig At least half of our members live in Over, including our Secretary. The History Society meets at 7.30 p.m. on the third Tuesday of the month in The Carol Shaw Room at Swavesey Village College – through the main entrance then 20 metres along the corridor to the right. No need to book so you are welcome to just walk in. |
