Father’s Day ideas for those special chaps
To make a simple and inexpensive gift for that precious man, how about a personalised photo frame holding a photo of him with you/your children? A wooden frame could be painted if necessary but even other frames could work. Using a glue gun, attach a few things that are appropriate to the man’s hobbies around the frame. Maybe it’s fishing flies (without hooks obviously), or nuts and bolts, or perhaps decoupage a wooden frame with torn strips from an old book no longer required. Etc. I know these suggestions are rather generic but whatever your person is interested in could probably be replicated in some way. For someone who enjoys scrabble for example, craft shops sell imitation scrabble pieces.
For a bookmark for a reader, or a card, draw a simple line drawing of a bare tree, and using ink or paints, get each member of the family to print a fingerprint onto the tree as leaves. If you have a small family, let each person have their own colour and do a few each. (If you can’t draw a simple tree, there are free examples on the internet to print out)
Whatever you do, I am sure that he will absolutely love the fact that you have taken the time to make something personal to him and hopefully have a very happy day.
