Let’s decorate the village for April!

The Spring Equinox has arrived, bringing warmer and sunnier days and we look forward to the lovely month of April. Following Mothering Sunday and Eid, April this year will include Easter, Passover and various Hindu festivals, as well as the new life of Spring in our flora and fauna.

There are so many easy ways to decorate in celebration of any of these things, and it would be lovely to see lots of decorations around our village. Whether home-made or bought, they’ll be sure to raise a smile.  We could put a wreath on the front door, pictures and decorations in windows, kebab sticks with decorations in pot plants, eggs hanging in trees, etc etc… or purely put something inside our homes for our own pleasure.

If you want to join in but are stumped for inspiration, there’s masses on the internet.  We would also love to receive ideas from villagers of easy things to make – a photo, with or without instructions, sent to submit@overvillage.co.uk could then be published in the Crafty Corner section of the newsletter to inspire others.
