Over Gardening Club: Plant names explained

Our next meeting is on Wed 21st Oct when our speaker Liz Porteous will talk on “Plant Names Explained”.  Free refreshments of tea, coffee and biscuits will be served from 7.15pm in the Main Hall at Over Community Centre.

We will be holding our usual Raffle at £1 per ticket with numerous prizes on offer. Don’t forget to bring your entry for The Flower of the Month Competition. Members are invited to display one flower stem from their own garden in a small vase or container to be judged by the speaker. Points are awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place and each entry receives 1 point. The member with the most points at the end of the year wins the Cup.

Our speaker last month was Caroline Holmes who told us about Monet at Giverny and his colourful gardens.

We hope to see you all next Wednesday.
