The 'Street Party' Picnic on the Green and Sports Day invitation is for Over residents. Get your team together to take part or support them with some flag waving. Tea and coffee available.

A selection of ‘otterly’ fantastic stalls and activities for all the family! 17th August on Over Village Green Join our nature experts, wildlife charities and local conservation initiatives from across the NLOW project area. Experts will be on hand to help people of all ages to discover the wildlife living on your doorstep. Enjoy a delicious East Anglian taco from La Gringa food truck, make a dragonfly print with artist Sherry Rea, hear about the work to bring Turtle doves back from the brink, and get chatting with national wildlife organisations and local groups such as the RSPB, Wildlife Trust BCN, and other local groups all working hard to support wildlife within Cambridgeshire.

Over and District Royal British Legion and Over Parish Council are hosting an event to commemorate the anniversary of the DDay landings. There are some national events that we will be joining such as the Ringing of Bells at 6.30pm and the Beacon Lighting at 9.15pm as requested by HM King Charles III. We are aiming to walk the distance from Over to Normandy around the village green on the 6th June and would welcome anyone who wishes to join us. There will be an opportunity to walk the route, and pass the five points set up to represent the Sword, Juno, Utah,Gold and Omaha beaches, during the day or evening. We will need to cover 1000 laps of the green! There will be a pop up cafe in the evening serving drinks, hot dogs and cakes, candy floss and popcorn. Everyone is invited to join us as we commemorate this significant day in our history. Please spread the word to your friends and neighbours.
