Whether you're an embroiderer, crocheter, knitter, patchworker .......any form of textile artist or crafter really, and whatever level of skill you have, you'd be most welcome to join us in Over Community Centre on Friday mornings from 9.30. Our aim to get together to socialise through our hobbies, hopefully inspiring and helping each other to learn new skills. We meet in the lounge and support the centre by buying our drinks from the café.

2 events,FREE CPR TRAINING AVAILABLE TO OVER RESIDENTS! Thanks to generous funding from Over Parish Council, I'm able to offer 100 FREE places on my Community Lifesaver CPR Training. These places are reserved for residents of Over. On my Community Lifesaver CPR event I will share with you my experiences as a Paramedic to give you the confidence to help save a life when someone has a cardiac arrest. I have two events booked at Over Community Centre on Saturday 23rd August and Saturday 15th November. Both sessions are from 2pm to 4pm. Don't miss out—these spots are limited to 100! An Elizabethan Grammar School: Mike Muncaster At least half of our members live in Over, including our secretary. The History Society meets at 7.30 p.m. on the third Tuesday of the month in The Carol Shaw Room at Swavesey Village College – through the main entrance then 20 metres along the corridor to the right. Over Gardening Club's November meeting will be held in the main hall at Over Community Centre. This month we have a talk by Geoff Pake entitled "My Farming Experiences". We are a friendly group of gardeners and plant lovers who have regular meetings with a speaker and raffle and occasional plant sales. Meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of each month; from September to May we meet at Over Community Centre where we usually have a guest speaker talking on various aspects of gardening, in June we often arrange a visit to a local garden and in July we hold a social evening. Membership runs annually from 1 April to 31 March and is currently £15.00 per year. Visitors to meetings are welcome but we do ask for a guest fee of £3.00 per visit. A 10% discount is currently available on most items at Oakington Garden Centre, plants at Parkhall Nursery in Somersham and also items from Madingley Mulch when your membership card is shown. Please do join us at our next Memory Café when we have ‘Juke Box Legends’ entertaining us. All are welcome to our free morning, teas, coffees and cake will be provided. Our Café is in the Over Day Centre, to start at 10:00am on Saturday, November 22. St Mary's Church, Over, are running an Advent Activity morning on Saturday 29 November from, 10.15 - 12 noon for children between 4 and 11 years. It will start in the Church and then move quickly over to the hall where there will be lots of Advent and Christmas themed crafts and activities to have fun with. Parents are invited to stay and enjoy some seasonal refreshments too! There is no charge for the morning, but we do require you to book a place in advance as numbers are limited.
