Over Carnival… Less than a week away

Less than a week to the Over Carnival! The committee is getting excited now.

New this year: we are going to be selling reusable branded pint glasses at the Carnival at the bars and also at the Control Tent – in order to try and reduce the amount of single use plastic at the event. These are £2 each and can be returned to us at the end of the night when you can get your money back but we hope that some people would like to keep them for other occasions. Please note that because we are running this as a deposit system we can only accept cash for this not card payment so please remember to bring both cash and card with you.

The Over Carnival Team would like your help, please:
Friday 12th July. We will be in the Green from 8am. We could do with as many volunteers as possible to help with putting up fencing and marquees. If you can help, we would be so pleased to see you.
Programme, door to door. Can you help selling programmes and raffle tickets where you live? Please make contact. Let’s see if we can cover all roads.
Saturday 13th July. Come and see the team in the control tent.
Sunday 14th July. We will be on the Green from 8am. We could really do with some help with the fencing and marquees and a general tidy up of the Green

Come along on Saturday 13th July at 1pm to join in the fun of our fancy dress parade around the Green with an Olympic sport theme. We would love to see individuals, families and groups and there are some great prizes.
A quick reminder of other timings:
1pm Carnival starts, fancy dress parade
2pm Daytime entertainment on the main stage
5pm Children’s Disco
6pm Evening entertainment on the main stage
10pm Close of event
