Over Primary School in Cambridge brought a touch of chocolate-filled magic to the community this World Book Day with a “Willy Wonky” themed fundraising event that delighted pupils, families and local residents. Inspired by the classic story, the school transformed donated chocolate bars into its own special “Willy Wonky” bars. Hidden inside 27 of the bars were special golden tickets, with prizes generously donated by local businesses across the Cambridge area. Hello Over! I’m sure you have seen us advertise on Facebook and posters around the village. We are a small group and we need your help in raising funds for the carnival next year! The harsh reality is that if we cannot get enough raised then the carnival next year may not be able to happen as rising costs across all sectors is making the carnival more expensive to put on every time. What a wonderful event the lights were last night! We just want to thank every single person that came out to not only support us, Over Community Festivals, but supporting all the stall holders.
