Over Carnival – One month to go!

The Over Community Festivals committee has been working hard to create a fun-packed day on the village green on Saturday 13 July.  We are delighted to be celebrating local talent this year and are hugely grateful to everyone involved and all the incredibly generous local businesses and individuals who are sponsoring the event or sharing their expertise.

 We are saving a few surprises till the day but here are some of the highlights you can look forward to
From 1pm: the “Over Olympics – Sport Around the World” Grand Fancy Dress Parade on the green with fabulous prizes to be won. Please get involved – as a group or a family. More details to follow.
Food & Drink: main bar, ice cream van, delicious food trucks, candyfloss and popcorn, cakes and sweets… plenty to choose from.

Daytime Entertainment: as well as the funfair you can enjoy music from the Over Primary School Choir Voice Over, fitness demos from Neil Marsh Health & Fitness, fabulous flower arranging with Madeleine Bradley, a Ninjutsu Martial Arts display and the popular children’s disco with our very own Disco Dave. The Scouts are bringing back their tomahawk range and there is a wide range of stalls selling crafts, books, plants, toys, sweet treats and much more.  Come and support our local organisations and traders.

Evening Entertainment; we are thrilled to be bringing four local acts to the main stage from 6pm: Jess Oscroft, Over N’ Outs, Cubans & Cognac and the headline band The Flaming Ravens.

We will be selling raffle tickets over the next couple of weeks and programmes around the village.
