Over Community Festivals Update

The Over Community Festivals AGM took place at the Community Centre on Tuesday 6 January. The Co-Chairs Jane and Jeanette took the opportunity to say the following thank yous:

To all the committee members past and present for all their help with the Christmas Lights Switch On in December and with the planning for the next Carnival on Saturday 13 July 2024:

To all those who generously sponsor our events and attend with stalls and food trucks, and all the musicians/singers/entertainers (and Father Christmas!)

To all our friends behind the scenes who make these events possible especially: Graham Fenn and Chris Day, Ralph Percival, Mark Channell, Dave Bridgman and Over Parish Council

We are pleased to welcome Rhiannon to the committee.  

Plans are well underway for this year’s Carnival so please save the date for this important community event: Saturday 13 July from 1pm till late.  If you would like to get involved in any way please get in touch by email: overvillagecarnival@gmail.com and do follow us on Facebook for updates on the wide range of entertainment, stalls, food trucks and much more that you can look forward to.  We rely on a merry band of volunteers on 12th and 13th July for lots of different and important jobs from selling raffle tickets and programmes to putting up fencing and gazebos so please do get involved if you can! It’s a lot of fun and is an important event for the village which supports a lot of local organisations.
