This month's speaker is George Lockwood, with a talk about "Plants for Early Summer". We are a friendly group of gardeners and plant lovers who have regular meetings with a speaker and raffle and occasional plant sales. Meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of each month; from September to May we meet at Over Community Centre where we usually have a guest speaker talking on various aspects of gardening, in June we often arrange a visit to a local garden and in July we hold a social evening. Membership runs annually from 1 April to 31 March and is currently £15.00 per year. Visitors to meetings are welcome but we do ask for a guest fee of £3.00 per visit. A 10% discount is available on most items at Oakington Garden Centre, plants at Parkhall Nursery in Somersham and also items from Madingley Mulch with a current membership card. If you would like to come to a meeting as a guest just turn up or contact any member of the committee for further details, we would love to see you. Committee members: Richard Cox, Julie Carter, Jeremy Tyrrell, Carolyn Redmayne, Carole Cowley, Jan Hook, Julie Wilson, Cynthia Bidwell, Rachel Henshaw Enquiries, please email gardeningclubover@gmail.com |
