Last call for contributions to the annual printed edition of Over Village News

We previously announced our plans to launch an annual printed edition of Over Village News. There is still time for your club or community group to contribute a report, photos or updated information for inclusion in this booklet, or to advertise your business.

For Over Villagers

Very soon, in early 2026, every household in the village will receive a copy of the Over Village News Annual.  This new format will reach those who are not online and will provide a comprehensive directory of village services, local businesses, clubs, and community groups to all in the village. Don’t worry, we’ll still be ensuring your weekly digital Over Village News reaches your inbox too!

We will also be distributing some copies of the Over Village News Annual via public outlets in Over and neighbouring villages (shops, libraries, cafes, etc.) to reach those a little further afield.

Watch out for your copy dropping through your door in early 2026!

For Local Businesses

The new Over Village News Annual provides an additional opportunity for advertisers to appear in print alongside our existing digital advertising available on overvillage.co.uk.  The Annual will be delivered to every household in Over (around 1700 in total) as well as to public outlets in neighbouring villages.  Options are available for full, half and quarter page adverts in the Annual, and we have already received keen interest from our existing advertisers.  If you would like to find out more about these new advertising opportunities, please contact us with your enquiry.

For Community Groups & Clubs

Many local clubs, groups and societies provide frequent and welcome updates, news and invitations to events via the existing digital Over Village News, helping to keep villagers up-to-date with everything going on in and around Over.  We are reaching out to existing contributors to invite submissions about clubs and societies to include in the Over Village News Annual, to ensure villagers have a directory of this information all year long.  If you would like your club or society to be featured, please email us.  It’s a great opportunity to raise awareness of your club or group, and it’s completely free of charge for not-for-profits.

Many villagers were sorry to lose the previous paper-based Over News and we hope the Over Village News Annual provides another beneficial outlet for our brilliant local clubs, societies, groups and businesses.

As always, a huge thank you to our contributors, subscribers and local businesses for their support in making Over Village News possible, as well as kind support from Over Parish Council and Town Lands Charity.

We are excited to continue growing Over Village News and serving our wonderful village community for years to come.
