Over Village Produce Show 2024

50^th ANNIVERSARY – 1974 2024

Saturday 3^rd August 2.00 – 4.30pm in Over Community Centre Main Hall

Presentation of Trophies 3.30pm   Grand Raffle Draw + Sale of Produce 4.00pm

Calling all Over residents and new residents to the village. Please come along and support your local show. Why not make this the first time you enter one or more of the categories.

We have all the usual Produce classes:  Vegetables, Fruit, Plants, Flowers & Arrangements, Home Cooking, Jams and Preserves, Homemade Beers and Spirits and Photography.  There are 2 new classes this year: 50th Golden Anniversary Flower Arrangement and 50th Golden Anniversary Sponge Cake.

The Children’s Section incudes Home Baking, Collage, Decorated Egg, Garden on a Baking Tray, and Photography. We also have colouring pages on the theme of farms for the youngsters to colour either on the day or pick one up from the Community Centre foyer and bring it along on the day to display.

The 3 themes for both Adults and Children’s Photography 2024 are “Farm Machinery”, “Farm Animals” and “Fields”  so keep these in mind when you are out and about with your cameras or mobile phones.

Copies of the Programme, Schedule and Entry Form are available in the Community Centre Foyer and can be downloaded from the Over Parish Council website. Please bring your entry forms along to the Community Centre Foyer between 5.00 and 8.00pm on Thursday 1^st August. No entry forms can be accepted after 8.00pm.

This year will mark 50 years since the first Over Produce Show was staged by the Royal British Legion in 1974.  We plan to celebrate the Golden Anniversary with some special displays of old farming equipment and gardening tools.

Any offers of raffle prizes or volunteers to help sell raffle tickets on the day would be greatly appreciated.  If you have a trophy from last year please could you return this by Sunday 28^th July to Richard Cox  Tel: 01954 230426. Many thanks.

ARTIME ART EXHIBITION

Saturday 3rd August 2024     9.30am – 4.00pm

ARTIME is one of Over’s local Art Groups and we will be showing an exhibition of our work in the Seminar Room at the Community Centre to run alongside the Over Produce Show. Please come along and see us after you have visited the produce exhibits.
