Dear Friends, I wonder what you enjoy watching on television? One of the programmes I look forward to is ‘Pilgrimage’ which involves celebrities from a variety of contexts trekking together, sharing life and faith on the way. The programme points to a reality – in a busy world, an increasing number of people are rediscovering the quiet gift of pilgrimage. At its heart, a pilgrimage is simply a journey taken with intention, usually involving movement both visible and within a person’s heart and spirit. Memory Cafe and Lunch Club – Report on 7th March 2026
Thank you to all who joined our Memory Café and Lunch Club on Saturday, a fantastic morning with a great numbers at both our Café and Lunch. The Good Times entertained us with Live music ranging from Dolly to Duran Duran. Amazing cakes and savouries were provided, a big thanks to our volunteers who make the morning such fun. Lunch was another triumph, amazing food, a birthday to celebrate and so many diners joining us. We thank you all for your continued support and our amazing cooks and volunteers. Over Gardening Club – 18th March 2026
Over Gardening Club’s March meeting will be held in the main hall at Over Community Centre at 7.30pm. This month we have a talk by Roger Harvey entitled “The Chelsea Experience”. We are a friendly group of gardeners and plant lovers who have regular meetings with a speaker and raffle and occasional plant sales. Meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of each month; from September to May we meet at Over Community Centre where we usually have a guest speaker talking on various aspects of gardening, in June we often arrange a visit to a local garden and in July we hold a social evening. BioBlitz – 27th June 2026
A BioBlitz is an event in which volunteers work together in small groups to find and identify as many species of plants, animals, birds, fungi and other organisms as possible. Come for an hour or stay all day – bring along a picnic!

Over Players – Murder on the Nile
Our next production will be Murder on the Nile by Agatha Christie. Performance dates: Thursday 28th, Friday 29th and Saturday 30th May 2026 in Over Community Centre. ‘Murder on the Nile’ is based on Agatha Christie’s novel ‘Death on the Nile’. The Hercule Poirot character from the novel is missing, and in the play is replaced by a Church Canon who investigates the murders, as we follow the trail of clues he slowly unravels. Thank you to all who braved the cold January morning to celebrate our Burns morning. Outstanding singing and it was great to see a few new faces. Cakes and biscuits were very well received, many thanks to our bakers. Stuart Green was brilliant as ever and Kelly Austin got us all waving arms and wiggling feet, all in all the entertainment was great fun.
