We previously announced our plans to launch an annual printed edition of Over Village News. There is still time for your club or community group to contribute a report, photos or updated information for inclusion in this booklet, or to advertise your business. For Over Villagers Very soon, in early 2026, every household in the village will receive a copy of the Over Village News Annual. This new format will reach those who are not online and will provide a comprehensive directory of village services, local businesses, clubs, and community groups to all in the village. Over Memory Café October news
What a brilliant Memory Café on Saturday 25 October with the Over Players providing a superb morning’s entertainment. A massive thank you to all performers. We also celebrated the Lunch Club’s birthday with a great lunch and cake. Make sure you’re protected this winter
NHS Cambridgeshire & Peterborough urging anyone eligible for their COVID-19, flu, RSV or pneumococcal vaccines to make sure they’ve had them this winter. Each vaccine has a slightly different eligibility criteria: For some people who have got used to have their COVID-19 and flu vaccine together in winter, this might mean a change for them as the COVID-19 vaccine age criteria has changed from people over 65 to people over 75. The following is an edited version of my report to the Parish Council. Local Government Reorganisation Councils are spending considerable time and resources on the Government’s local government reorganisation, developing three formal business cases. The scheme has had significant financial support over the years both from SCDC and Over and Willingham Parish Councils. However, the number of residents in Over who are taking advantage of the scheme has been low in recent years and Over Parish Council discontinued its financial support for 2025/26.
