Over Allotments
The village allotments, off Mustills Lane, are owned by the Church & Town Lands Charity of Over (reg no 202613). This Charity manages assets bequeathed by former residents of the parish of Over; income from these assets, after expenses, being divided annually between St Mary’s Church and other charitable purposes within the village for the general benefit of Over residents. If you are interested in renting an allotment for growing your own vegetables and flowers, please email ctlcharity@gmail.com for further information. An Update from Fen Drayton Lakes
As we head into autumn, another breeding season on the reserve has come to an end. Like in previous years, this one has had mixed success with some species doing well and others sadly not doing so well. A pair of Grey Heron successfully nested on site for the first time, fledging three chicks. As birds that usually nest communally, it is going to be interesting to see if they return next year and have other pairs join them. A Hobby pair once again nested on site, fledging two chicks. New Saturday Lunch Club
We’re launching a new Saturday Lunch Club at the Over Day Centre for residents of Over and surrounding villages. Run entirely by volunteers and will take place on the fourth Saturday of the month, straight after the Memory Café.
